It may surprise you, but the water you drink may not be fit for your pool. Tap water can have a high or low pH and mineral levels that can harm your pool. These can prevent pool treatments from doing their job not to mention damaging your pool and its equipment.

Once–A–Week Poolcare Program

Step 1 – Sanitiser

“For healthy water 24x7”

Power Chlor, Power Tabs, Smart Sticks and Salt Pool Sticks ensure healthy water with continuous bacteria kill. The role of the sanitizer or disinfectant is to destroy bacteria as quickly as it is introduced into the pool. To do this the sanitizer must be continually present in the water in a measurable and active residual amount. Water can become contaminated from a wide variety of sources, including rainfall, dust, insects, animal and human wastes.

Step 2 – Oxidiser

“For better quality water that is crystal clear”

Provides sparkling clear water by removing wastes that contribute to cloudy water or odours that affect swimmer comfort. Over time, swimming pool water accumulates a build up of waste material. These wastes, which are not capable of being filtered out, are introduced by people as well as animals, insects and the general environment. Oxidation is primarily to remove swimmer wastes and destroy organic contaminants in the water. To maintain sparkling, clear pool water use Lite or Burn Out Extreme.

Step 3 – Algaecide

“There is no such thing as a little algae problem”

Algae spores are always present in pool water, even if we cannot see them. The best maintained pool can still have algae growth. Back Up II Algae Inhibitor prevents algae growth. We are faced with environmental impacts that challenge the prevention of algae growth in our swimming pool water. Traditionally, sanitisers were used to kill and control algae but this is proving much less reliable as algae species become more diverse. .
