First Pool and Spa Technician on the Cassowary Coast

Darren Toy from Innisfail Chemex is the first Pool and Spa Service Technician in the Cassowary Coast region to achieve the new Pool and Spa Service industry national qualification.

The Certificate IV in Pool and Spa Service gives Swimming Pool and Spa technicians recognition towards the competencies required to treat water quality problems as well as install, service and repair the key components of domestic and commercial swimming pools and spas. The Certificate IV in Pool and Spa Service qualifications was developed specifically for the pool and spa service industry. These new qualifications will raise the standards of the industry and provide a career pathway for future employees.
